We are looking for an Ontology Engineer for our client in the Pharma Industry
Location: Remote (within European time zone)
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- Extensive Experience in Bio-Ontologies
- Proven expertise working with Bio-Ontologies, with an extensive and demonstrable history of delivering high quality products.
- Strong Knowledge of W3C Standards: In-depth understanding of OWL, SKOS, and other relevant W3C standards for ontology development.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid background in biological or biomedical sciences, with the ability to understand and model complex biological concepts.
- Experience with Ontology Tools
- Proficiency in using ontology development tools such as Protégé, Topbraid, ROBOT, and other relevant software for ontology editing and management
- Experience in ontology-driven data integration and knowledge management
- Familiarity with NLP technologies and methodologies for text processing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on creating efficient and scalable solutions
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including researchers, data scientists, and software developers, to ensure ontologies meet organizational needs
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, bringing your deep expertise in OWL (Ontology Web Language), SKOS (Simple Knowledge Organisation System), and other W3C standards to the forefront
