We are looking for a new colleague to join an exciting project with our client in the wind industry. Your main objectives will be to assume comprehensive accountability for overseeing the mechanical systems and packages throughout all phases of the our clients Power-to-X project, including successful plant handover to Operations & Maintenance (O&M). You will also ensure compliance with international, national, industry, and our clients safety and technical standards and contribute to knowledge acquisition for future Power-to-X initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- Possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field (Preference for B.Sc. or M.Sc.)
- Demonstrate attributes of self-initiation, agility, flexibility, attention to detail, and business acumen
- Accumulate a minimum of ten years' experience as a senior project mechanical engineer, gained from large-scale projects in the Renewables, Oil & Gas, or Power industries
- Exhibit full proficiency in the English language
- Display a willingness to travel, up to 15% of the time
- Possess experience with tools such as COMOS, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
- Valid EU work permit
- Able to start right away
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Exercise overarching ownership of assigned mechanical systems/packages, encompassing quality, schedule, and budget considerations, up to plant handover to O&M
- Establish effective liaison with engineering contractors, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), suppliers, certification bodies, clients internal teams, and external project stakeholders
- Review documentation and contribute insights to derive lessons learned for continuous improvement
- Provide robust support to the scope of work in collaboration with all contractors and disciplines involved in the Power-to-X project
- Actively engage in meetings with engineering contractors and vendors to monitor and track their deliverables
- Monitor and address technical queries (TQs) and design alterations during fabrication within the mechanical scope
- Participate in risk assessment sessions (HAZID/HAZOP), identifying and executing risk mitigation measures in collaboration with pertinent disciplines
- Oversee manufacturing progress, modifications, and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and System Integration Tests (SIT) in alignment with the Mechanical Team Lead
- Contribute technical expertise and assistance to other teams/disciplines on the Power-to-X project, ensuring effective interface coordination and management
- Facilitate the smooth handover of the plant to O&M, aiding in the formulation of maintenance requirements for mechanical systems/equipment
